Date Duration Calculator
A Date Duration Calculator computes the exact time between two dates. It provides a detailed breakdown in years, months, and days, and is useful for project timelines and event planning.
How to calculate the duration between two dates
Enter a start date and an end date using the calendar pickers, then click Calculate Duration. The result shows the exact time between the two dates, broken down into years, months, and days. The calculator handles all calendar complexities including leap years, varying month lengths, and daylight saving time transitions.
What the result means
The duration is shown in three components: years, months, anddays. For example, a duration of "2 years, 3 months, 15 days" means exactly that — from the start date to the end date, 2 full years, 3 full months, and 15 additional days have passed. This is more precise than simply counting total days, because months and years have variable lengths.
